UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm deactivates microorganisms by destroying their DNA structure. The significant advantages conferred by this process are that microorganisms cannot build resistance to UV light, it is environmentally-friendly, easy to maintain, and highly effective.

UV-C radiation units installed in ventilation and air purification plants deactivate bacteria, mould fungus, yeasts and viruses which enter the ventilation or air-conditioning system from the exterior.UV lamps with a quartz glass quality that can produce ozone simultaneously emit radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm. They de-odorise and disinfect air at the same time by breaking down or reducing the offending compounds and odorants in the air, due to ozone's strong oxidising properties.
